Day 21 – Lupron Starts!

Well, I just survived my first injection.

It was not bad at all – and I must admit, it wasn’t really anything I was massively afraid of. I know exactly what I dread – the 2ww. And of course everything that could go wrong once stimming starts onwards.

For the lupron shot, I took a deep breath and just did it. Meaning I just closed my eyes and had DH do it. I had iced the spot prior to that so I hardly felt a thing. The deep breath was more for that plunge into beginning the treatment. Its just kinda scary to actually so something that is going to start affecting your hormonal system.

Its been a stressful day, so much going on. After the shot I was at the grocery store picking up a few feel-good things, and of course there were many other people as usual with their kids in their carts. Its getting so old. There is a twinge of bitterness sometimes as to why it is having to take this much to have a child. But I am having to remind myself that this is what I am willing to do to have that child NOW and not wait on mother nature anymore. I’ve waited two years. And waiting anymore just hurts.

So here it is, the official first shot to take my best shot! I’m officially on my way
