25 week update!

Holy &!*&^ does time fly quickly! But here’s a 25 week update already.
Yup, 25 weeks today.

First, I guess first of all it felt really good to hit the 24 week mark. Because I knew that after 24 weeks that baby can “technically” survive outside it’s mother’s body. That alone is huge relief, just to know mentally. Even though the LAST thing I’d want is for that to happen of course!!!
At this time, I am actually feeling great. Probably the greatest I’ve felt since IVF. No nausea, no crazy cravings, no massive tiredness, no serious aches – just a much bigger me and sweet baby kicks every day!! What a joy it is to finally be experiencing this!
People have told me I look “small” for 5+ months. I was actually dissappointed to not be showing sooner. But just yesterday, someone – a stranger!!!! – finally asked me when I’m due! I’m noticable!!! Yeay!!!!!!!!!
I’m feeling more at ease with my body now…. I have gained more weight than textbook , but for now I’m just feeling its OK. I don’t care. I’m trying to enjoy the moment – especially this moment, when I’m not too huge yet, and do not have nausea and that HORRIBLE feeling constantly anymore.

25 weeks brings a certain dose of reality. Wow, this baby will be here!!!! And the todo list is a mile long all of a sudden. When you were too cautious and scared to do anything baby related the first trimester, or even the early second, at SOME point, you are hit with OMG… I need to start getting ready for this!!!!

Today we went to look at a crib. I think we found the one we are going to get! We also registered at the hospital yesterday. I feel good when things get knocked out, a little at a time.

We do not know boy or girl…. and it is actually so dreamy to guess. It makes the pregnancy so mysterious and amazingly mystical in a way. But the baby is very real! Kicking every day, shifting, and making itself known!

15 weeks to go!!!! Hey, that’s only 15 weekends to get stuff ready!!!!!! And I better get moving!
